Whimsy Stamps September Release: Day 1

Happy Labor Day Weekend to you! It’s the first of the month, and you know what that means… Whimsy Stamps September release is here!

My first card for the release features the new Galaxy Galore background stamp, Notched Squares Die Set, and the Howling Night stamp set.

This was so much fun to build! I stamped the Galaxy Galore design with Versamark ink on the light gray cardstock background, and while that was drying, I worked on my little wolf image from the Howling Night set.

To get that look, I heat embossed the wolf with Versafine Clair in Nocturne, then heat embossed again with a slight offset (to make a moonlight glow on his fur) with Clear embossing powder. I did the same with the moon, except I used Liquid Platinum embossing powder as the base coat. 

Then it was just a matter of a little bit of Distress Ink blending over the embossed images, with a few flicks of water and Pen White to make the sky interesting. 

To finish up, I embossed my sentiment and trimmed the pieces with the new Notched Squares Die Set and adhered them to the card front with Foam Squares.
