Sweet Serenade Notecards Collection: Mini Slimline Cards

Hello hello! Today I have two cards to share with you, and one of them is my very first mini slimline card. Y’all, I’m hooked. I used two new sets from Spellbinders Sweet Serenade Notecards Collection, called Sweet Sayings Notecards Sentiments and Lyrical Layers Florals, to create these using the same supplies for both.

There’s something about dark blues on bright whites, isn’t there? I just love the combo.

FOr the first card, I didn’t want just a plain white background, but I also didn’t want to ink it up. My solution was to create some lines with a scoring board on half of the card front before I adhered the floral bunches.

The floral bunches from the Sweet Sayings Notecards Sentiments set layer amazingly well and come with the dies to cut them out perfectly. Bonus!! I also trimmed the cut flower images a bit to have a few sprigs for around the sentiment.

Hello Mini Slimline Card

For the second card, I used the same blue cardstock for the angled panel that I did for the mat on the first one.

The embossed line design is different on this one; I created a sorta plaid look to add a bit of interest to the blue cardstock. You can see it better in the photo above because of the lighting. And this time, I stamped the florals so they would peek above the angled topline.

The sentiment is cut using the Sweet Sayings Notecards Sentiments set. There’s several word dies in this set; I can see myself using them on all sorts of cards!

All the supplies I used today are listed below. Thanks so much for stopping by to see the cards I made using the Sweet Serenade Notecards collection. Have you tried making mini slimline cards yet? Follow me on Instagram and I’ll follow you back – I’d love to see what you make!
