Nuvember 2018 Day 1: Tis The Season + Nuvo Drops

Hello and welcome to the first day of Nuvember 2018! It’s a celebration of all things Nuvo, and today is all about Nuvo Drops. 

I love this product for embellishing my cards. The little beads are so cute!

For the design today, I die cut my sentiment with the Tis The Season die from a piece of 5.5 x 4.25-inch Silver Glitter cardstock. I wanted to use the same silver glitter for the mat, so i cut the words from the center to save a piece of paper 🙂

Next, I adhered my White cardstock over the silver glitter with Funky Glue Tape (it’s super tacky and holds well to glitter) and tacked my sentiment in place with the same adhesive. 

Now comes the fun part! I drew all the little twigs with a Silver Star Gellyroll pen. 

Then I began adding all the red Nuvo Drops in Red Berry. If you’d like to see how I make perfectly round drops, I have a little clip on Instagram with my technique.

The leaves I added are Woodland Green Nuvo Drops. To make them leaf-shaped, all you do is pull a Craft Pick through the dot before it has a chance to dry. This creates a tiny vein while dragging the drop to a point, and you can even shape them with a curve if you like. 

Once all the Nuvo Drops are dry, adhere the card front to an A2 card base with another lick of Funky Tape, and you’re done!
