January Small Die of the Month Kit with Spellbinders
Hello! I have a card for you today featuring the January Small Die of the Month Kit from Spellbinders. The lovely people there sent me this die set to try it out and I tell ya, I am so happy they did!
This month’s set is called
You can cut the clothing from patterned paper, but I took one look at the pieces and thought, I’m going to make a girl doll and color her instead. I had a nice sentiment set called Everything Together that would match the card just right.
I die cut all the pieces in one pass (sweet!) from Classic Crest cardstock. Out came the Copic markers, and I used Y21, E33, and E37 for the girl’a hair.
Her dress is a combination of BV000, BV00, and BV02. For her
I dabbed the pieces for her eyes and shoes with Black and adhered everything together with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. For the sentiment, I trimmed another piece of Classic Crest and heat embossed it with Versafine Onyx Black and Clear Embossing Powder.
To put it all together, I cut an A2 piece of black cardstock and a 5-1/2″ x 4″ rectangle of patterned paper from my stash, which I layered over the black mat. Then, I adhered my 2-1/2″ x 4″ sentiment strip and layered my cute little lady with some Foam Squares.
Thank you so much for popping in to see my project using the January Small Die of the Month Kit from Spellbinders! You can find even more paper doll inspiration here.
