Spellbinders Sparkling Christmas Glimmer Collection
I know it’s a little early to be getting into Christmas shenanigans, but I absolutely adore this new Glimmer background plate from the Spellbinders Sparkling Christmas collection. Isn’t it lovely with all the foiled snowflakes?
It’s got a circular opening in the center for your favorite sentiment, but for this particular card, I opted for “Christmas Cheer” from the Christmas Essentials Glimmer Circles set.
To cut the sentiment circle and add the tiny holes around the center snowflake, I used three dies from the Nestabilities Essential Circles set. It’s super easy to do once you have your sentiment foiled – use Low Tack Tape to hold everything still while you run it through your die-cutting machine.
The foil is hard to catch in a photo because it’s on the white cardstock, but I assure you it’s GORGEOUS in real life. I used Aura Glimmer Foil for both the snowflakes and the sentiment.
The center snowflake comes from a die set called Kaleidoscope Snowflake; it’s one of Spellbinder’s Small Die of the Month Club offerings. Of course, you can use whatever snowflake die you have on hand.
To make it stand out, I cut the snowflake three times: twice with Neenah Solar White, and once with glitter paper for the top. Then, I sandwiched it with Deluxe Adhesive.
Here it is! Thanks so much for reading today!
