January 2019 Merry Little Christmas Challenge
The January 2019 Merry Little Christmas Challenge is
The kit itself is sold out, but many of the products that were included can be purchased separately. I used the Watercolor Card image by Suzy Plantamura that came in the set for today’s card.
It’s printed on watercolor cardstock, but instead of breaking out the paints I decided to color in the image with Copic markers.
Here’s the Copic color list:
- Holly – R24, YG67
- Poinsettias – R46
- Mistletoe – G46, E000
- Leaves – G21, G99
- Pinecones – E57, E59
- Berries – R24
- Cardinal – C7, R59
The cool thing about this card front is that it’s printed with toner ink, and you know what that means… it’s hot foiling time! My favorite foil is from Deco Foil and I used a Minc Mini to apply it to the image.
After the paper cooled, I trimmed down the card front to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ and used a piece of Gold Mirror cardstock for the mat. Then, I adhered it to my card base and added more gold to the centers of the poinsettias with a gold Gelly Roll Pen.
Head on over to see all the beautiful and fun projects by your fellow paper artists – I hope you join in on the January 2019 Merry Little Christmas Challenge! See you there!
PS – Here is another of my favorite cards I put together for the MLCC; this one is from November’s challenge!
