Whimsy Stamps September Release: Day 4
Hello! The Whimsy Stamps September Release Week for September is almost over, but the creativity is still flowing! I have TWO cards for you today that I put together with some of the fabulous new products from Whimsy Stamps.
Webbed Greetings
For the first card, I used the new Web Background cling stamp with some Versafine CLAIR in Morning Mist. I cut a center square with the new Notched Square dies, then cut the word “boo” using the Bold ABC dies.
To add a little bit of shine, I heat embossed the haunted house and some bats from the Howling Night stamp set with Versamark ink. Then to balance it all out, I popped on some adhesive pearls and my favorite ribbon.
Fright Night
The second card I made is using the same background stamp with Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Grape Juice and the new Halloween Creatures stencil.
I stamped the sentiment from the Howling Night stamp set, and heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder. After trimming out the lower section of black cardstock to fit my card front, I drew stitching around the edges with a Uniball Signo Gel Pen.
To add the spiders, I used Versafine CLAIR in Nocturne over the stencil since I was going to heat emboss them with Clear Embossing Powder. To get the details, I used a small sponge dauber and touched up with a black Micron pen. After they were embossed, I added a little “shine” to the spiders with the same gel pen I used for the faux stitching.
